About the event

Meet Oni!

Hey, y'all, my name is Oni! I'm a senior gal who has a little extra to love. You may think I'm a chunk, but I assure you, I have been working hard to get my girlish figure back in check. I was found as a stray, overweight, and pretty unhealthy. I've lost about 6 pounds so far and am down to a svelt 18 pounds! My foster parents have really put in the work to get me healthy again. Measured meals, limited treats, and lots of walks have been had in the last couple of months! Hard work really does pay off! I live with other dogs here, and I do well with all of them, though I'm not really interested in playing with any of them. A couple of small humans also live here, and I like them well enough. The one cried a lot, and she's pretty new, and the other likes to run and play, but she's still respectful to me. I always try to get my pottying done while I'm outside so that my humans don't have to clean up any messes.

I really enjoy going for walks, so now that I'm at a healthier weight, I'll need my new humans to keep me there and keep working with me on it because I still have a couple of pounds to lose. Since I also really like dinner time and will even do a little "Oni run" to my food bowl, we must be mindful. I never want to be unhealthy again! I recently had some mammary tumors removed and the rest of my teeth, and I'm feeling like a million bucks! My favorite pastime happens to be napping in the soft dog beds that my foster home has and barking at those pesky, rude squirrels from the back porch! But that's about the only time you'll hear a peep out of me. My foster parents believe I'm mostly deaf. Whenever they tell me something, I don't even lift an ear. Say what, now? That's me in a nutshell! Now I need to find my humans who will be dedicated to me and my health who will also make sure I always have the best dog beds! Maybe that's you!

Meet Tango!

Have you ever wanted a tiny dog disguised as a baby fox wearing a bow tie?? That’s me, Tango!

I was rescued from a hoarding situation down south, but despite that, I’m pretty healthy and friendly to people. I was a shy guy for the first few days in my foster home (given my tiny size, all of 6 pounds, I was often found hiding behind the couch at first), but my foster parents see me coming out of my shell little by little every day. If you give me a little time to adjust, I’ll be your best friend! My foster mom says I’ll probably be a little dog with a big personality once I get fully adjusted.

Despite being a bit shy, I love to be held, and pet, and the little human in the house says I’m soooooo soft! I also get along with the other dogs in the house and try to engage them in play (so far, they are pretty boring!).

I'm fully house-trained and will even use a potty pad if needed, and I don’t mind going into my crate for a little siesta (and I sleep in my crate at night without a peep). One of my favorite things to do is go for walks outside! Well, actually, being outside in general is fabulous!

I'm a younger adult, but I’ve already had most of my teeth removed. Foster mom says I must have eaten too much candy as a puppy, but it’s no big deal – I can eat kibble just fine, and little dogs like me often need their teeth removed at some point anyway. I don’t have any known health issues. I’m a sweet little guy, and I'd love to call your home my forever home!
