In Loving Memory of

Millie

heart-rainbow.png

Millie would have been 15 years in October. She passed away on May 26th 2026. She has lived with me in 3 states: WI, IA, MN,

We had road trips together over to Montana and back- she loved the outdoors. Probably could have been a good farm dog. She was happy everywhere. We ate at restaurants and you would sit by my feet. Not a soul knew she was there until we left - and they loved her. She swam in the Yellowstone River, Lake Winnebago- more pools, creeks and places then I can count, had ice cream at Wall Drug, went to Devils Tower, visited the Spam Museum, and more. And she would be prescribed by doctors to go visit patients. We had one boy that saw her and said he didn’t like dogs. She somehow knew to lay on the floor and army crawl to his sister in the room. Then after a few minutes he asked if he could pet her. The doctor said he really opened up to them after that. It would take us an hour and a half to visit the ED At Mayo because all the staff would come running and wait for her and she wanted to see them all (big ER, 80 beds).
She was not prefect - she ate bee once and puffed up like a cartoon character. She also ate some mouse poison and lived- that’s how we discovered that she loved 100 pureed pumpkin (helped w/absorption) and then she had to have with her purina at every meal. She also did research with Mayo and Purina : to determine with patients that need chronic pain meds could have less meds with dog/human interaction. She was pretty good girl. When I met my husband it took her awhile to warm up to him but the second she sniffed our girls home from the hospital she loved them to pieces. She was a Nana dog. She also was Ellie our other Aussies best friend. we miss her so very much.
