All of our transport dates are also created as events within our foster and volunteer page on Facebook. If you indicate that you are attending, Facebook will send you reminders.

There are so many ways to help when the transports arrive. We need volunteers to help offload the vehicles, walk and potty the dogs, help hold the dogs while they get chipped/vaccinated, clean up crates and kennels after the dogs leave, and we are even looking for people willing to learn how to review the dog's records before they go to their new foster homes. If you are unsure, we always encourage volunteers to come to transport and see how things work!

All monthly TN transports arrive at our headquarters. You can put Albert's Dog Lounge in your GPS, or our address is N7285 Woodfield Lane, Whitewater WI.

Typically, our TN transport arrives around 7am on Sunday morning. However, this time is subject to weather, traffic, and stops to break for the drivers and the dogs. ALWAYS check the foster and volunteer page before leaving home to make sure the transport is still arriving at the scheduled 7am arrival time.

It costs you nothing! As a regional transport driver, when you go to TN, we provide the vehicle, gas money, food money, supplies, and provide full coverage insurance to you as a driver on our policy.

Regional transport drivers typically leave our headquarters in Whitewater on Saturday morning around 9am. We do have some flexibility. Sometimes drivers want to leave a little earlier to make a couple of stops on the way down, and we are perfectly ok with that. If you want to leave on a Friday evening and get a hotel overnight, we can also accommodate that as well and provide a hotel allowance towards that cost. However, for that, both drivers would need to be able to go on Friday evening and the rescue would need to be notified in advance to make sure the van is packed and ready to leave early. This should be coordinated through the Transport Coordinator.

While you are gone, you will leave your vehicle at our headquarters in Whitewater. This is on our founder's property where it will be watched and monitored overnight. You will also get a parking spot that will allow easy access for you to leave first thing when you get back, so you can get out and get home to rest.

First and foremost, we need folks ready to take dogs off the van and take them out to get the pottied.

- Once you arrive, we encourage you to grab a slip leash and be ready when the van pulls in.

- Someone will board the van and start bringing dogs out one by one.

- As a dog is handed off, you will be told the dog's name.

- From there, the dog should immediately be taken out to the fenced yard to go potty. (Be sure to pick up any dog messes from the yard).

- When you bring the dog back inside, find the crate or kennel where the with the dog's name and photo and put the dog inside where fresh food and water will be waiting.

Once the dogs have had their food, we will need continued help taking them all back out a second time, cleaning up any messes they might make, holding them for shots and chip scanning, and sanitizing the crates and adding fresh bedding in for the next transport.

Do not worry! You won't be expected to remember this all or know where everything is. We have many very friendly seasoned volunteers available to help guide you through the process.

Supplies we have in stock and where things are located are constantly changing. But never fear! We love helping our fosters shop for supplies. We have plenty of reusable bags on hand and a plethora of folks waiting just to show you around and help you find what you need. Just bring a list of items you think you need, and we will help you find those, and probably more!
